eSeminar: NGS 101 for Pathology: Technology and Terminology Simplified

9. 1. 2019

Genomics Webinar Series
Panelist(s) Info: Brigette Kipphut, Field Application Scientist, Genomics Applications, Agilent Technologies, Inc.
Duration: 1 hour
Description:
As molecular pathology embraces genomic sequencing, basic understanding of this technology is vital. Our focus will be on the basics of next generation sequencing (NGS) and its applications in pathology and clinical research. Topics include: a brief history and overview of sequencing technology, sample requirements and preparation, comparing/contrasting whole genome sequencing to targeted sequencing (e.g. sequencing exomes and/or small panels of genes), as well as a review of key NGS terminology and phrases you may hear related to NGS workflows. Join Agilent to learn not only how to walk the NGS walk, but also talk the talk!
